Handmade in Morecambe Bay

sterling silver & bronze - coloured with resin and enamels

...

Welcome to my world. I am a jewellery designer and maker, based on the beautiful Morecambe Bay, in Lancashire, England.

My work is primarily in sterling silver and bronze, inspired by nature - the feel of a sea-washed pebble, the sun, the sea, the swirl of sea-weed at the water’s edge, the play of light on the water, the wind in the grass...

I am continually exploring new techniques and materials, and different ways of combining them.

One significant thread in my design work comes from the Japanese principle of Shibumi. This is an aesthetic concept describing an effortless sense of elegance and simplicity. That perfectly sums up my intention.

Another thread in my design work is around the tactile sense of solid silver and good craftsmanship. You can feel it.

I also like to use recycled materials like copper and sea glass. And to add colour with resins and enamels.

Everything I do is on my little workbench in the corner of our office. This really defines what I am able to do.

Commissions
I do take commissions, mostly rings and pendants. These are carved in wax, then sent off for casting. So ... I can create you a ring of your choice, sized and finished for you specifically. If you like the sound of that, contact me.

And I'm currently beavering away getting my shop online (please bear with me).
