Welcome to my world. I am a jewellery designer and maker, based on the beautiful Morecambe Bay, in Lancashire, England.
My work is primarily in sterling silver and bronze, inspired by nature - the feel of a sea-washed pebble, the sun, the sea, the swirl of sea-weed at the water’s edge, the play of light on the water, the wind in the grass...
A significant thread in my design work comes from the Japanese principle of Shibumi - where simplicity meets elegance. It is beatiful by being understated, by being what it needs to be and no more.
Currently I am working on three main threads - infills, 'climbing vines' and light catchers. See in shop for more details
What is hallmarking? Why bother? Well...
Everything I do is on my little workbench in our office. This really defines what I am able to do. You can do a lot in a little space...
I do take commissions, mostly rings and pendants.
For non-cast item I can make these up on request.
For cast items, these are carved in wax, then sent off for casting. So ... I can create you a ring of your choice, sized and finished for you specifically. If you like the sound of that, contact me.
